Mini Axolotls

A couple of nights ago I had a dream about 3 tiny axolotls that were alive while in water but turned to clay when removed. You could then repaint them and put them back in to swim around again. They were so cute I decided to make some in real life!

Since they were designed using weird nonsensey dream physics it was kind of hard to translate their shape into real life, but I think these are close. Each axolotl is a little different because I wasn't sure which one was closest to the dream axolotls. One is bigger, one is small and one is small with huge gills.

They are all made with Sculpey clay, painted with acrylics and varnished.
