Another little Homestuck salamander. Boy do I love those salamanders!
This wee guy's made from Sculpey. Or Fimo. Probably both. It's about 4.5cm tall.

You just need to put on some kind of varnish after the clay is baked. I'm not sure if it matters what kind you use.

He looks so cute and professional(ly made, that is! :D)

It looks so glossy-- what did you use? I'm actually looking into some good, glossy finishes right now.

Awww, thank you!
It's just a little bottle of some Fimo varnish! I have no idea where I got it or how old it is or if it's a special kind or anything. It's also slightly stained blue for some reason.
In other words I just use whatever's lying around and I'm probably not all that helpful, sorry! D:

No, no, that's very helpful, thank you!
So I guess you just painted it on? I have Sculpey varnish but it streaks something terrible when I apply it.
So I'll definitely look around for it!

Yep, it's got a little brush on the cap. It doesn't streak very much at all, maybe it's just because it's quite watery.

You should totally make a tiny sculpted bunny to go along with it.

I think that might work better with a salamander with visible arms!

Luckily we have these fake arms which we can use for hilarious antics.

...Are you suggesting I sculpt fake arms with which the salamander can hold onto a bunny?
'Cause even if you aren't that sounds sorta fun :P

This makes me realise: it is almost a charmander, but then with bubbles instead of fire.

Great looking!

They are pretty similar, yup! I remember seeing a picture of one whose tail was set on fire by a basilisk and then it became a Charmander, heehee.
Thank you!

Unfortunately it won't make a satisfying *pop* or *bloop* noise if you do! Most solid bubble I've ever seen.
Thanks!
